6mm Warmaster and Dragon Rampant Pikemen

Well here they are, the baccus6mm Late Medieval Pikemen that have been oh so delayed on account of my reluctance to spend the time to get them based. I decided to use a couple of different basing options – the Warmaster system of three 40mm x 20mm bases:

The second was a new one for me. I’ve read the Dragon Rampant rules and think they look really nice and streamlined, perfect for some diverting solo games. The rather┬ásimple mechanic of dice to keep track of unit strength looked as if it could be integrated onto a base in a similar way that some make dice-holding counters. After a bit of exploration I found that Pendraken make a rather excellent range of movement trays and dice holders:

There we are! I’m quite chuffed with the results and am looking forward to my pimped up crossbowmen joining them on the field of battle.

Thanks for looking.

Chaaaarge! 6mm Hussars and Light Dragoons.

Today just a quickie. I accidentally spent much more than I should on some Microworld 6mm Fantasy armies which I want to use for Dragon Rampant, so, as a result I’m having to raise some funds! I always enjoy painting Napoleonics, especially without the need to get a full army together as the odd unit provides a certain therapeutic need.

These two units are, as subtly hinted at in the title, British Light Dragoons and the always fun Hussars manufactured by the always awesome Baccus 6mm. It’s always nice to see them painted up and based and hopefully off to a loving new home soon. Enjoy.
